Community of Hope (COH) is one of JLSB’s community partnering projects. We have committed $60,000 over three years to COH. Community of Hope serves homeless families with children with transitional housing, in an effort to move families from homelessness to self sufficiency. Their mission is, “To transform lives with hope and dignity by providing opportunities through single and multi-family transitional housing that allows families with children to remain together, become self-reliant and move to a permanent home.”

n the past 2 years JLSB has helped build the Hoag Avenue Duplex. This property features 3 bedroom housing so larger families can live comfortably. Members of JLBS worked on the construction of the house building the roof, running electrical wires, installing bathroom showers and cleaning up around the worksite. This year we presented the 3rd installment of $20,000 to COH completing our $60,000 committment.
