Last year, 26 Junior Leagues participated in Huggies Every Little Bottom campaign, a multi-year diaper deprivation initiative that aims to raise awareness about the social and financial ramifications of diaper deprivation (some facts: 11 million children live in poverty; the average child uses 7-10 diapers a day; the majority of day care providers won’t accept children without a supply of diapers, which means, in many cases, that one of the child’s guardians will have to forfeit a job to stay home to care for the diaper deficient child). Together these 26 Leagues held 76 diaper drives and collected 226,559 diapers…now that’s the power of association!

The Junior League of South Brevard, Inc. collected over 2,000 diapers last year! These diapers were distributed throughout Brevard county to needy moms.
